Clovis Junior: Brazilian artistic exuberance

I am a big fan of Art Naif. And there is no one better to express this style than Brazilian artist Clovis Junior.

Joao Pessoa, located in the Northeast of Brazil, may be a vibrant cultural city, but it is not easy to break into its competitive cultural scene.  It often requires an elite education and great persistence for an artist to be able to achieve acclaim from the difficult-to-impress beaux-arts community.

What is incredible to realize is that, at only the young age of 18, Clovis Junior had his first art exhibit. Luck? Hardly.  Instead, I say talent!  Ultimately, very well recognized in Brazil, this talented artist has definitely contributed to establishing this northeastern Brazilian town on the cultural map of the naif art scene.  Moreover, Clovis Junior has helped in showcasing to the world the Brazilian northeastern folklore culture thru his colorful and exuberant paintings.

Some beautiful art – no doubt about it. Despite its loud colors, it seems somewhat soothing.

Sem dúvidas, Clóvis Júnior é um dos maiores artistas Naif do Brasil. Conhecido no Brasil e no exterior como um pintor de qualidade em seu estilo primitivista.
