“Star Wars” Stamps

Sending snail mail is a dying form of communication that is almost lost in the past due to the new and fast ways of getting in touch (aka, email, smartphones, social networking, etc).

Nonetheless, London-based illustrator Stefan van Zoggel has worked on a collection of Star Wars stamps, in hopes of reviving the habit of sending regular mail letters and personalizing communications.

His retro-looking stamp designs feature the many worlds in the Star Wars franchise, ranging from Naboo to the planet Hoth.

As a stamp collector and an old-fashioned writer who enjoys sending real letters to friends in the age of Facebook and Twitter, I hope that this concept design of Star War stamps actually catches on. Sending letters can be fun, even better if with Naboo stamps on it, don’t you think?
